AHSA Agency Partner

Effective immediately, you must include your Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (Nursing Pool) license up front with all Berkshire Health System nursing submissions. This is a very small unit. Call-outs will not be allowed (call-outs will close this unit and adversely affect patient care). Please upload only your most dependable, reliable travelers. Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified at upload. RTO requests after upload will not be approved!! No more than 3 days of RTO will be accepted (less is better). This client will not consider "local" travelers (who reside within 50 miles of facility).

Patient Ratio 1:3 Beds: 3. This is a small community hospital (it is not a pediatric intensive care unit). The census is 3. There is not a second nurse scheduled for the unit. The maximum number of patients is 3. There is backup from Family Birthplace staff, and travelers have a security badge with a panic button to get immediate help. There are also respiratory and IV therapists that can cover the unit.

Our experienced pediatric nurses understand the unique needs of children and adolescents, and the importance of family involvement in their care. We provide "rooming in" for parents who wish to remain with their child during the hospital stay. To help make the visit more pleasant, we have on hand a variety of "in room" games and videos, as well as a play room for those with no contagious illness.

Non-billable orientation: 8hrs. OT and Holiday Multipliers: 1.25%. Charge, Call and Call-Back: Not applicable for this need. Requirement description: BLOCK SCHEDULING WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS NEED. Thank you! Very little RTO will be approved for this small unit. One holiday will be approved. 3 days or less, please!
