 The Supervisor, Mail Order Pharmacy Distribution processes and dispenses or directly supports the processing and dispensing of Traditional and Over The Counter prescription orders to be mailed to patients' homes and handles complex and/or escalated issues. The Supervisor, Mail Order Pharmacy Distribution works within thorough, prescribed guidelines and procedures; uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors to solve basic problems; collaborates with management and top professionals/specialists in selection of methods, techniques, and analytical approach.
Job Description

Workstyle: Mail Order Pharmacy

Location: This is an onsite role. 9843 Windisch Rd West Chester, OH 45069

Schedule: This is a second shift position (5:30 pm - 2:00 am) with a Sunday through Thursday schedule. Additional availability is also needed to for overtime coverage, projects, and occasional daytime meetings.

The Supervisor, Mail Order Pharmacy Distribution resolves problems related to drug interactions, dependencies, and department processes. Analyzes distribution and supports pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Assists Pharmacists in medication preparation and dispensing directly or through program/process development. May contact physicians for prescriptions clarification and may enter prescription orders into pharmacy system. Decisions are typically are related to schedule, plans and daily operations.

The Supervisor, Mail Order Pharmacy Distribution:

  • Leads a team of inventory clerks and pharmacy technicians as they receive, store, and replenish medication throughout the facility.

  • Works with other Supervisors in the Inventory, Packing, and Dispensing departments to resolve problems relating to department processes.

  • Analyzes distribution and supports pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

  • Assists Pharmacists in medication preparation and dispensing directly or through program/process development.

  • Complies with all Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), federal, state, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Performs escalated or more complex work of a similar nature, supervises a group of support and technical associates, and coordinates and provides day-to-day oversight to associates.

  • Ensures consistency in execution across team.

  • Holds team members accountable for following established policies. This includes holding monthly 1x1 sessions with each direct report and maintaining staffing needs.

  • Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

equired Qualifications

  • Active Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Ohio

  • National Certification, (PTCB or CPhT) with an active registration

  • Previous experience as a team lead OR experience with leadership duties

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint, navigating multiple systems and platforms and ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical difficulties.

  • Ability to learn Internal computer-based processing systems (Elite Inventory Management, E-Post, QMSI)

  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience with experience hiring, training, coaching and up to termination

  • Previous warehouse experience

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
