Pharmacy Floor Technician

Pay Rate: $21/hr (Paid Weekly)
Work Location: 2747 W GRAND PKWY N, Katy, TX, 77449
Allmed Benefits: Vision, Dental, Health Insurance and 401(k)
Contract to Hire: 08/17/2026 to 11/18/2026 (Change upon hire / Contract to Hire 3 Months)
Schedule: This position requires flexibility to work alternating opening and closing weeks, as well as every other weekend:

  • Week 1: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Week 2: 11:30 AM–8:30 PM
  • Every Other Weekend: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
    License Required: Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Floor Technician to support daily prescription fulfillment operations. This position is responsible for picking, labeling, scanning, packaging, and preparing completed prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist.

The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and compliance with pharmacy procedures and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately fill daily medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Pick medications from shelving, prepack racks, and designated storage areas.
  • Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy verification.
  • Prepare completed prescriptions for final pharmacist review.
  • Prepack frequently ordered medications, including labeling and proper storage.
  • Manually package medications, materials, and pharmacy products.
  • Process returned medications and recycle or dispose of products according to established procedures.
  • Alert the pharmacist of any medication or product that does not scan properly.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked workstations.
  • Replenish vials, labels, packaging materials, and other pharmacy supplies as needed.
  • Follow all applicable federal and state regulations, including HIPAA requirements.
  • Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Clear and active Texas Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently at a moderate pace.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable attendance and flexibility to work the required rotating schedule.

Preferred Qualifications
