Life at Duke Chevrolet GMC:  Typical day starts between 7 and 7:15am, with our doors opening at 7:30am. Welcome guest for their apportionment, take in of vehicle and preform multi-point walk around and check in. Throughout the day effectively communicating with the technicians to up date and give recommendations to the customers by phone, text, email and video using the latest technology we offer to you. End of the day helping customers pick up their vehicle with an outstanding friendly experience. You will have all the support and help you need to be your best, and provide the best experience for our customers. We believe not only in providing ongoing training, but also rewarding outstanding efforts. 

Summary:  The Express Lane Advisor is responsible for scheduling express service such as oil changes, tire work etc. And responsible for working with the other service advisor on main shop repairs. Plus identifying and documenting service, maintenance, and repair service for customers. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide an outstanding customer experience!
  • Schedules appointments with customers. 
  • Meet and greet customers when they arrive with a great friendly welcome
  • Advises customers on necessary and recommended services.
  • Works with customer and technician to identify required maintenance.
  • Communicate with the customer through video and text
  • Offers additional services and repairs to customers.
  • Computes cost of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicle to condition specified by customer.
  • Estimates cost of mechanical, electrical, or other repairs.
  • Enters itemized estimate on service order and explains estimate to customer.
  • Coordinates service and reconditioning of pre-owned inventory. 
  • Meets dealership’s standards for repair and order production.
  • Maintains CSI at or above Company standards.
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
  • Participates in required training.
  • Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.    
  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures,
  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
  • Other duties as assigned,

Qualifications: 2+ years experience in express service scheduling.

Education/Experience: Customer service industries. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills. Working knowledge of the mechanical operations of vehicles.

Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver’s License and

Computer Skills: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products. Ability and knowledge of the Dealership Management System and other web-based applications utilized for operations.

Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.

Attendance Expectations: The position requires regular and predictable attendance.  Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, and weekends.
