Job description

Maersk is seeking an experienced Air Export Operations Leader to lead a team of Air Export and Gateway Operations professionals. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, team performance, KPI achievement, and service delivery while serving as the primary escalation point for shipment and customer issues. The successful candidate will bring strong air export and gateway operational knowledge and a passion for developing people and leading teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Air Operations professionals

  • Manage team performance, KPIs, productivity, and service delivery

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex shipment and customer issues

  • Drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction

  • Partner with Air Product, Sales, Finance, Warehouse, CHB, Transportation, and other stakeholders

  • Support day-to-day air export and gateway operations as needed

  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, IOPs, regulatory requirements, and company procedures

  • Support customer implementations and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Air freight forwarding experience required

  • Strong air export operational knowledge required

  • Gateway operations experience, including airline coordination and consolidations, preferred

  • Leadership, team lead, coaching, or people development experience preferred

  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and escalation management skills

  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced operational environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational systems

Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $84,000.00*

*The stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary and may be adjusted based on market conditions, experience, and location. Final compensation will be discussed directly with the selected candidate(s) in compliance with all applicable laws.
