Export Manager Responsibilities
  • Responsible for accuracy and completeness for all foreign export orders. (Not limited to Japan & Korea)
  • Make sure all export documentation is up to foreign & border specifications
  • Make sure product is cut exactly to specification to e nsure customer satisfaction and proper primal placement in the box, monitor export box integrity
  • Keep track of the whereabouts of all exported orders
  • Communicate with scheduling to make sure product gets made and that packaging meets the importing countries regulations
  • Provide sample products to potential customers aboard
  • Give tours of the plant to possible international customers
  • Verify product transfers are timely to freezers and to export
  • Responsible for all export paperwork and labels. As well as verifying box counts mispacks, weights and tares on all export loads
  • Job performance is measured by Technical Service Manager on issues such as customer claims and accuracy of documentation
  • Participate in daily supervisor meetings to inform them of various export information when necessary
  • Assist in quality assurance department when needed
  • Assist in quality assurance training while helping Q.A. Technicians
  • Participate with the QA manager on all export audits, drive analysis of export claims
Qualifications
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED Equivalent - College experience beneficial
  • Minimum 4-6 years background experience in numerous areas in a packing plant
  • Understanding import/export laws essential
  • Computer & writing skills are important due to the technical nature of the position
  • General knowledge of how plant operates important
  • Strong verbal skills are essential
