Job description

Job Title:  Air Freight Export Specialist
Job Location: Phoenix, Arizona

As an Air Freight Export Specialist you will be responsible for the movement of our customer's air export shipments.  You will be the main point of contact for coordination between customer's shipment exports, customs brokers, and shipping carriers.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate air export and import shipments end-to-end
  • Ensure timely airline bookings and shipment execution
  • Act as the primary point of contact between customers, carriers, brokers, and overseas stations
  • Prepare and review all required shipping documentation (AWB, AES/EEI, AMS, manifests, etc.)
  • Track and monitor shipments, providing proactive customer updates
  • Ensure compliance with all export/import regulations
  • Complete accurate billing and maintain customer records in CargoWise
  • Meet operational KPIs for service, accuracy, and productivity

Role Responsibilities (CBA Scope)

  • Execution of airway bills, consolidations, and documentation
  • Import handling including broker document turnover, airline transfers, and release processing
  • AMS entry for imports and AES/EEI compliance for exports
  • Cargo claims processing and communication with origin stations (AQM/CCM)
  • Invoice preparation and airfreight billing
  • Maintenance of shipment files, records, and cash logs
  • Airline booking coordination and breakbulk processing
  • Customer service across phone/email for shipment updates, rates, and issue resolution
  • Dispatching trucking providers for pickup and delivery
  • House and master bill entry and system updates
  • Warehouse inventory tracking and freight status management

Skills / Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Detail oriented and strong follow-up skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Air freight industry experience preferred
  • Cargo Wise systems knowledge is a plus

Pay Range: $23.36 - $31.14/hr. (Based on Experience)
