Scan-Shipping Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced Airfreight Export Coordinator.
We are looking for a candidate who is organized, highly motivated, reliable, and who understands and appreciates the importance of team effort.
The Air Export Agent is responsible for coordinating all aspects of air export shipments worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordination of all aspects of Air Export from time of quoting to file closing.
  • Scheduling of pick-ups daily.
  • Responsible for rating shipments correctly.
  • Correspondence with customers, vendors, and overseas offices.
  • Work closely with other departments to deliver a high level of service to customers.
  • Familiar with arranging direct shipments, consolidations, and domestic airfreight loads.
  • Filing AES and issuing airway bill instructions.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Establishment of best practices and the performance of duties in accordance with internal and client established KPI's.
  • Maintain assigned book of business successfully, along with strong attention to detail on everything customer service and finance-related.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 2-5 years' experience in Air Export Operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of air export procedures.
  • Ability to be profit-conscious.
  • Ability to work with demanding deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks, must be organized.
  • Must be detail-oriented, thorough, and accurate, and have the ability to efficiently solve problems.
  • Strong PC skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Work effectively and efficiently via phone and e-mail.
  • Good planning and organization skills; ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge of Air Export compliance procedures with TSA, CBP, US Census, etc.
