Sales representatives may work in a call center or remotely, helping customers find the best deals and providing recommendations based on their needs. The role requires strong communication and customer service skills, as well as a good understanding of Expedia’s travel offerings and policies. Additionally, sales representatives may have performance targets and earn commissions based on bookings.
To excel in an Expedia Sales role, you need a solid understanding of sales techniques, travel industry knowledge, and customer relationship management, typically backed by a relevant degree or experience. Familiarity with CRM platforms like Salesforce, online booking tools, and knowledge of Expedia's systems is often expected. These abilities are crucial to achieving sales targets, providing excellent service, and contributing to business growth in a competitive travel marketplace.
A typical day in Expedia Sales involves reaching out to new travel partners or clients, maintaining relationships with existing accounts, and pitching Expedia’s travel solutions to meet client needs.
