Job description

Rochester Recovery - part of Sunshine Behavioral Health - is seeking an experienced and collaborative Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support and elevate our people operations across the organization. This role is a key strategic partner to leadership, helping ensure our workforce practices align with our mission, values, and legal and regulatory standards.

Located in Rochester, MN, we are a voluntary, residential behavioral health treatment program dedicated to transforming lives. Serving clients ages 18-65, we are a privately owned facility driven by our mission to turn every addiction into one of sustainable sobriety. What You’ll Do

The HRBP plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s people strategy. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor and consultant to the leader(s) responsible for final decision-making related to talent acquisition and workforce planning, employee relations and performance management, compliance and risk management, and any other matters related to human capital.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment, including job description development, sourcing strategies, interviewing, and Day 1 onboarding.
  • Partner with leadership to identify staffing needs and build effective talent pipelines.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders on HR, payroll, and time & attendance matters.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including progressive discipline and employment status changes.
  • Support leaders with coaching, documentation, and performance improvement planning.
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Administer and manage leave programs including ADA, FMLA, and Workers’ Compensation.
  • Oversee return-to-work programs and workplace accommodations.
  • Maintain accurate records for benefits administration, personnel transactions, and government reporting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive human resources experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with ADP or similar HRIS/payroll systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain objectivity, tact, and diplomacy.
