Job Summary
Wilberforce University is a small, Liberal Arts University with an Entrepreneurial focus, and a legacy of being the nation's first private HBCU. Broad responsibilities include teaching, research, and service to the community. Demonstrate instructional proficiency teaching in various modalities (in-person, virtual, or online).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Primary teaching responsibilities include teaching a broad range of kinesiology courses, including athletic training, anatomy and physiology, biomechanics of human movement, physical therapy, motor control principles and theory, and exercise physiology.
- Advise and mentor undergraduate Kinesiology majors and minors.
- Engage in and maintain active scholarly research activities.
- Serve on departmental and university committees and engage in other forms of service to the university and academic community.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or Physical Education.
- Candidates with ABDs considered but must have a conferred Ph.D. by December 31, 2025.
Minimum Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with Prior Teaching Experience.
