What is an exempt electrical engineer?

An exempt electrical engineer is a professional who designs, develops, tests, and supervises the manufacturing of electrical equipment, systems, and components. The term 'exempt' refers to their employment status under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), meaning they are typically salaried and not eligible for overtime pay.
