WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Executive Assistant and Office Manager will report to and support the Executive Director with a wide range of administrative tasks. They will also oversee the usability of the FRESHFARM office and execution of key operations and finance processes to ensure the success of FRESHFARM’s work as an organization.

Executive Communications, Scheduling, & Administrative Support

  • Support the Executive Director to manage daily and weekly tasking and scheduling through prioritization and proactive follow up on administrative and operational duties
  • Provide coordination, scheduling, and communications assistance for internal leadership and board meetings, as well as special events and projects as needed

Communications Support

  • Manage incoming and outgoing communications with integrity and discretion
  • Monitor, forward, and respond to messages sent to FRESHFARM’s general inbox and voicemail

Internal Operations & Office Management

  • Administer internal software and communications systems, as well as organizational insurance
  • Maintain office facilities and supplies
  • Perform weekly mail collection/distribution and cash deposits

THE DETAILS:

  • This role is compensated with an annual salary of $59,000-$70,000. This is a full-time, non-exempt position and therefore is eligible for overtime.
  • This employee will be expected to work Monday - Friday during normal business hours, with the potential for very occasional weekend or evening hours.
  • This role is primarily based in the FRESHFARM office (1100 15th Street NW ). This employee will also need to go weekly to our PO box (1380 Monroe St NW). This position requires in-office work three days per week. Remote work is allowed the remaining two days, with supervisor approval.
  • Use of a personal laptop is required; if needed, a $1000 triannual stipend is provided to purchase and/or maintain such a device.

PHYSICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • This is largely a desk job that will require significant amounts of sitting, standing, and typing on a computer
  • Ability to lift, transport, or move objects up to 35 lbs
  • Access to personal cell phone required; $25/month stipend provided for use
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to access the FF office
