Citrix Mastery: Deep expertise in Citrix DaaS, Studio, Director, StoreFront, Workspace, and NetScaler/ADC configurations.
OS Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments.
Core Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls, and Routers as they relate to VDI delivery.
Virtualization & Storage: Functional knowledge of VMware administration and SAN concepts.
Endpoints: Managed thin clients (like Igel, Dell, or HP) within a Citrix environment.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to "understand the audience"-moving seamlessly between deep technical dives and high-level business briefings

ServiceNow Power User: Experience using ServiceNow for request fulfillment.

Work Schedule & Requirements
Location: Candidates must reside within a 45-mile radius of Willis Tower (Chicago) or 609 Main Street (Houston).
Onsite Policy: * First 8 Weeks: 2 days onsite (specific days TBD).
o Standard Schedule: 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
Hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM.

Position Overview
United Airlines is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Citrix Engineer to join our VDI Services team. As we continue to scale our global infrastructure, we need a self-motivated expert to help maintain, optimize, and innovate our virtual desktop environment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in large-scale enterprise environments and possesses the "soft skills" to translate complex technical concepts for executive leadership.
The ideal candidate will not only manage the day-to-day health of our Citrix stack but will also play a key role in developing our 3 5 year technology roadmap and driving automation through ServiceNow integration.

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Strategy: Design, build, and maintain Citrix solutions across an enterprise-scale environment. Contribute to the long-term architectural roadmap.
Automation & Integration: Lead initiatives to integrate ServiceNow with Citrix for automated VDI provisioning, alerting, and SSL certificate management (Venafi).
Image Management: Build and optimize VDI images for both general use and specialized high-performance team requirements across Windows 10 and 11.
System Performance: Proactively monitor and troubleshoot the Citrix stack (Studio, Director, StoreFront, NetScaler) to ensure maximum uptime and a seamless end-user experience.
Executive Communication: Interface with business stakeholders and executives to provide status updates, project milestones, and technical recommendations in non-technical terms.
Endpoint Management: Manage and optimize the connectivity between ChromeOS thin-client devices (Chromeboxes/Chromebooks) and Citrix DaaS to ensure a seamless experience for remote and contact center agents.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills
Experience: 5+ years of dedicated Citrix Engineering experience in a large-scale environment (e.g., 5,000+ seats, or major healthcare/aviation/finance sectors).
Citrix Mastery: Deep expertise in Citrix DaaS, Studio, Director, StoreFront, Workspace, and NetScaler/ADC configurations.
OS Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments.
Core Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls, and Routers as they relate to VDI delivery.
Virtualization & Storage: Functional knowledge of VMware administration and SAN concepts.
