Job description

B2B Account Executive - Technology Solutions
Wintek Business Solutions | Lafayette, IN
Compensation: $80,000 - $150,000+ (base + commission). 401K match + pension plan.
Wintek Business Solutions is the business arm of Tipmont, an electric and fiber cooperative serving north central Indiana. We sell fiber internet and technology solutions to local businesses. The product is real, the territory is growing, and we need someone to go get the business.
This is an outside sales role. You'll spend most of your time in the field meeting business owners, not sitting at a desk. Your job is to find new customers, show them why our fiber and tech solutions solve their problems, and close the deal.
What you'll actually do:
- Prospect and generate new business through cold calls, door-to-door outreach, and local networking
- Present fiber and technology solutions to small and mid-size businesses
- Manage the full sales cycle from first conversation to signed contract
- Build relationships with local business owners and decision-makers
- Stay current on fiber broadband technology and competitive landscape
- Represent Wintek Business Solutions in the communities we serve
Who does well here:
- Salespeople who like being out in the field, not behind a screen
- People who are comfortable knocking on doors and starting conversations with strangers
- Self-starters who don't need a manager to tell them what to do every morning
- Someone who can explain technical solutions in plain language
This is NOT for you if:
- You prefer inbound leads over outbound prospecting
- You need a lot of structure and daily direction
- You're not comfortable with cold outreach
Required:
- Proven outside sales or B2B sales experience
- Comfortable with cold calling and door-to-door outreach
- Ability to quickly learn and explain fiber and broadband solutions
- Self-motivated. You'll have an office but you won't be in it much.
Nice to Have:
- 2-3 years of outside sales or B2B sales experience
- Experience in fiber, broadband, or technology sales
- Degree in sales, technology, business, or related field
Benefits:
- Medical, dental, and life insurance
- 401K with company match
- Pension plan
- Education reimbursement and professional development
- A culture that rewards initiative and values innovation, respect, and making an impact
Apply now. Phone calls will not be accepted. Questions: recruiting@tipmont.com
