Account Sales Executive – Industrial Automation & Digital Manufacturing Solutions


A national industrial automation and software solutions company with a facility in the Bingham Farms, Michigan area is currently seeking an Account Sales Executive for a Direct Hire opportunity with their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional looking to join a company that offers excellent growth potential, strong leadership, cutting-edge technology, outstanding benefits, and the opportunity to work with leading manufacturing organizations throughout North America.


Local candidates are preferred, but relocation assistance may be available for well-qualified candidates.


Account Sales Executive compensation is anticipated to be based on each candidate's experience and education. In addition to base salary, a competitive commission and bonus program is offered. All well-qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate.

Qualified Account Sales Executives will have most, if not all, of the following skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of recent and relevant B2B sales experience within industrial automation, manufacturing software, systems integration, MES, IIoT, controls, or related industrial technologies
  • 3+ years of recent experience developing new business while managing and growing existing customer accounts is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated success selling consultative technical solutions with a proven history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Experience working with manufacturing customers including Engineering, Operations, Plant Management, Maintenance, IT, or Executive leadership
  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation, PLCs, SCADA, MES, Industry 4.0, digital transformation, or manufacturing software solutions is highly desirable
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles from prospecting through proposal development, negotiation, and closing
  • Must be self-motivated and capable of managing a sales territory with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to travel 20%, primarily throughout the Midwest and other North American customer locations, with occasional overnight travel
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Marketing, or a related field is beneficial but not essential. Equivalent industrial sales experience will be strongly considered.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States (no H-1B sponsorship or student visas considered)
  • Must be able to complete standard pre-hire checks including background check, drug screen, employment verification, and professional references
