Quality Engineer - Manufacturing, Building Products


Plant located 30 miles East of Cleveland

Industrial building Products - Salary $95,000-$100,000

I am currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer (Rubber, Extrusion or Plastics experience) on behalf of a Manufacturer of Building Products used for commercial facilities with over $1 Billion in sales. This role will be located at a plant location approximately 30 Miles East of Cleveland, Ohio.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for supporting the Quality Management System (QMS) and driving problem solving across the manufacturig processes ensuring ISO standards, leading correctinve actions, audits and analyzes process performance reducing variation and imprvoign product quality.


QMS support and maintain ISO 9001 and maintain quality procedures and instrucions. Corrective Action leading root cause investigations usin 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, AD to drive containment, corrective and preventative actions. The Quality Engineer will maintain control charts, differentiate common cause vs special cause variation and monitor process capability (Cp/Cpk) driving improvement where needed. Analyze quality data, scrap, rework, batch variability to identify trends. Support APQP activities includign Process Flow, PFMEA and control plans.


The hiring manager is looking for 4-10 years of experience within a rubber, plastics or extrusion ISO manufacturing environment supporting Quality initiatives. Experience with SPC, control charts and capability analysis, leading corrective actions and experience with statistical software preferred. Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality or related field. The salary range is $90,000 - $100,000 and offers Full Benefits including healthcare, matching 401k, etc.
