About the Role
As a Trauma Response Team (TRT) Member, you will provide critical support to individuals, families, and communities following disasters or traumatic events. TRT Members deliver Psychological First Aid (PFA), Post-traumatic Stress Management (PTSM), and Self-Care Coping Groups to both community members and BHN staff. This is a unique PER- DIEM opportunity to support resilience and recovery during moments when it's needed most.
What You'll Do
  • Respond to traumatic events on short notice, providing crisis support within established protocols.
  • Deliver Psychological First Aid to individuals, families, and community groups.
  • Facilitate Post-traumatic Stress Management Groups for those affected by disasters or critical incidents.
  • Educate communities about stress reactions, coping strategies, and emotional resilience.
  • Provide referrals, resource information, and assistance with services when appropriate.
  • Ensure confidentiality and uphold the human rights of those served.
What You'll Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED required; prior human services experience preferred.
  • Ability to respond effectively in crises and work collaboratively with diverse populations.
  • Successful completion of Riverside Trauma Center training in PFA/PTSM (required before service).
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to community locations.
