Position Overview
This role is in person at our Denver, CO, office and will require frequent travel.
Vantage is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Executive Protection Specialist to support key functions of our Executive Protection and Physical Security program in North America. This position is ideal for a hands-on security professional with strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and a service-minded approach to protecting senior leaders in dynamic environments. This role supports an emerging, high-performance security organization focused on building a world-class program that sets the industry standard for data center security worldwide.
Based out of Denver, CO, at Vantage Data Center Headquarters, this role reports directly to the Executive Protection Senior Manager and functions as an individual contributor supporting executive protection operations, threat monitoring, and security advance activities.
The selected candidate will be expected to be on-site daily when not traveling to support the business' needs. This is not a remote position.
Essential Job Functions
Executive Protection Operations
  • Provide executive close protection services for designated leaders, both domestically and internationally, as required

  • Support protection coverage for executive meetings, public appearances, events, and site visits

  • Escort and manage executives during sensitive engagements as needed

  • Maintain professional presence and situational control to deter threats, disruptions, or unsafe conditions

Travel Security & Advances
  • Plan and support executive travel security, including advance work, route assessments, hotel reviews, and venue security coordination

  • Conduct cursory security searches and site assessments to identify potential risks and mitigation measures

  • Coordinate closely with Executive Assistants to align protection requirements with executive travel logistics and itineraries

Threat Monitoring & Risk Mitigation
  • Partner with the Threat Intelligence team to monitor emerging threats, conduct OSINT reviews, and assist in evaluating risk factors related to executive travel, residences, and public exposure

  • Assist with threat documentation, risk scoring inputs, and reporting to support executive security decision-making

  • Identify, mitigate, and promptly report risks or suspicious activity through established escalation channels

Third-Party & Vendor Coordination
  • Coordinate and oversee approved third-party executive protection providers when supplemental coverage is required

  • Support vendor engagement by helping define coverage expectations and ensuring standards are followed during assignments

Monitoring, Reporting & Investigations
  • Monitor executive-related security environments for anomalies or potential threats

  • Assist with incident reporting, after-action reviews, and documentation related to executive protection activities

  • Support investigations related to executive security issues as directed

Collaboration & Coordination
  • Collaborate closely with internal partners, including Physical Security, Threat Intelligence, Executive Assistants, and senior business leaders

  • Support crisis response efforts involving executives by following established procedures and direction from leadership

  • Always Represent the Physical Security and Executive Protection programs with professionalism and discretion

Additional Duties
  • Assist with preparing intelligence inputs and background material for executive security briefings

  • Support audits, compliance reviews, or special projects related to executive security as assigned

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Protection Senior Manager

Job Requirements
Travel
  • Travel is expected to be up to 50% or more and may increase over time as the program evolves.

Experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in executive protection, corporate security, or a related protective services environment (law enforcement and/or military experience preferred)

  • Demonstrated experience supporting executive protection operations, including close protection, travel security, advances, and event support

  • Customer-facing experience supporting senior leaders and high-profile stakeholders, with the ability to operate discreetly and professionally

  • Experience working within established security policies, standards, and service-level expectations

  • Familiarity with coordinating third-party security or executive protection providers is preferred

  • Extensive expertise in conducting open-source intelligence research.

Note: This role does not require people-management or program ownership experience.

Additional Details
  • Salary Range: $130,000- $140,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
