Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for the Vice President of Operations - HVAC in Corona, California. The Vice President will oversee daily operations, ensure alignment with strategic goals, and manage profitability and efficiency for HVAC projects. Responsibilities include sophisticated operations planning, driving operational excellence, overseeing project execution, implementing strategic objectives, and fostering positive relationships with clients, vendors, and team members. The role also entails financial oversight and ensuring customer satisfaction and safety across all projects.

Strategic Operations Leadership
  • Develop and implement operational strategies for HVAC across multiple multi-family construction projects.
  • Align HVAC operations with overall corporate objectives, project timelines, and quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, labor productivity, and cost optimization.
Field Operations Management
  • Oversee HVAC field teams, including superintendents, foremen, and technicians.
  • Manage scheduling, labor allocation, and project coordination to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure installations comply with design specifications, codes, and safety standards.
Prefabrication & Logistics
  • Integrate prefabrication processes to streamline HVAC installation and reduce field labor.
  • Coordinate material procurement, delivery, staging, and inventory management.
  • Optimize logistics to improve project efficiency and minimize delays.
Financial & Performance Management
  • Develop and manage budgets for HVAC operations and projects.
  • Track labor productivity, material usage, and cost performance.
  • Approve vendor contracts, procurement plans, and capital investments.
Quality & Safety
  • Implement quality control programs to ensure compliance with design, codes, and company standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Monitor incident reports, enforce corrective actions, and maintain proactive safety measures.
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing operational and field teams.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and succession planning.
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as a key point of contact for developers, general contractors, clients, and vendors regarding HVAC operations.

Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred but not required.
Experience
  • 10+ years in HVAC construction operations, preferably in multi-family or large residential projects.
  • 5+ years in senior management or executive operations roles.
  • Experience managing prefabrication, field teams, and logistics operations.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, and industry best practices.
