Regional Director Operations Director (RDO) - Skilled Nursing
Missouri Region
Are you a proven skilled nursing leader who thrives in multi-site operations, regulatory excellence, and building strong leadership teams? Americare Senior Living is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Operations (RDO) to oversee multiple Skilled Nursing communities across Missouri.
This role plays a critical leadership position in driving operational performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening census and financial outcomes, and fostering a culture rooted in Hometown Hospitality and Americare's RISING Values.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role requiring regular regional travel and strong partnership with community Administrators, clinical leaders, and divisional support teams.

Regional Director Operations Director (RDO) - Skilled Nursing
Position Overview
The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for the overall administration, leadership, and operational success of assigned Skilled Nursing communities. This leader ensures consistent execution of Americare standards while driving high-quality resident care, employee engagement, survey readiness, and strong financial performance.
The RDO partners closely with:
  • Community Administrators
  • Regional Nurse Consultants
  • Sales & Outreach leaders
  • Operations Business Consultants
  • Skilled Nursing Division leadership

Key Responsibilities
Operational & Clinical Leadership
  • Lead and support Skilled Nursing communities to achieve operational, clinical, census, financial, and employee engagement goals
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all federal, state, and local Skilled Nursing regulations, including survey readiness and response
  • Provide secondary operational and clinical oversight in partnership with Regional Nurse Consultants
  • Serve as interim Administrator or ensure interim coverage during leadership transitions as needed

Accountability, Culture & Team Development
  • Create a culture of accountability, ethical practice, and continuous improvement
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Administrators and key leaders to build bench strength and succession readiness
  • Ensure communities consistently model Americare's RISING Values and Hometown Hospitality philosophy
  • Support recruitment, retention, engagement, and recognition strategies across the region

Census, Sales & Financial Performance
  • Partner with community leaders to drive census development, reimbursement optimization, and value per unit
  • Conduct weekly Sales Activity Board reviews with Administrators and adjust strategies when results are not met
  • Monitor financial performance using budgets, payroll reports, dashboards, and key performance metrics
  • Lead community audits and ensure timely follow-up and execution of action plans

Strategic & Executive Partnership
  • Support divisional and organizational strategic initiatives, pilot programs, acquisitions, and new community starts
  • Provide regular reporting to divisional and executive leadership on community performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Represent Americare professionally with regulators, partners, and external stakeholders

What We're Looking For
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 4+ years of successful experience in an administrative or supervisory role
  • Multi-site leadership or Senior Administrator experience preferred
  • Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) in applicable state
  • Strong knowledge of state Skilled Nursing regulations
  • Proven experience in:
  • Skilled Nursing operations and compliance
  • Financial and budget management
  • Census development and sales strategy
  • Leadership development and coaching

Additional Requirements
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned Kansas region (up to 80%)
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Comfortable working from a home office with frequent community visits
