Job description

For over 50 years, MHMR has provided community-based services for youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), mental health conditions, and substance use disorders, as well as babies and young children with developmental delays. Indirect - Administrative/Clerical/Customer Service

As the Regulatory Strategist you will serve as an administrative advisor and coordinator for regulatory readiness, compliance oversight, and implementation support of regulatory priorities, with a primary focus on services for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (IID). Reporting to the Center Administrator, this role partners with executive and operational leadership to promote compliance with federal and state regulations, HHSC requirements, accreditation standards, agency policies, and contractual obligations. The position provides strategic guidance to translate regulatory requirements and approved corrective actions into operational solutions, monitors progress toward compliance objectives, identifies and escalates risks, and drives agency survey readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.

Defined Education: Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Compliance, Law, Finance, Social Work or related field

Preferences: Master's Degree

Substitutions: None

Years' Experience: Five (5) years

Defined Experience: Progressively responsible experience with regulatory compliance and analysis, program administration, risk management, strategic regulatory planning
