About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Artificial Intelligence Solutions Consultant, as part of the Artificial Intelligence team.

You will support the enterprise adoption and scaling of AI, advanced analytics, and agent based solutions across the firm. This role sits at the intersection of technology, finance, and business strategy, ensuring that AI and cloud investments are economically sustainable, transparent, and aligned to regulatory and risk requirements.

You will partner closely with Technology, Finance, Product, Risk, and Lines of Business, helping design and operate end to end economic models for AI solutions-including people costs, AI platform costs, model usage, and cloud infrastructure consumption. The role goes beyond traditional cloud cost management and focuses on unit economics, financial governance, and value realization for AI enabled workloads.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop the Artificial Intelligence framework companywide or for an assigned line of business
  • Discuss the current state and transitioning strategy to accelerate utilization for enhancing the customer or individual experience
  • Lead the strategy over a large portfolio of Artificial Intelligence at the highest complexity with companywide impact
  • Research and develop Artificial Intelligence designs and concepts
  • Provide vision, leadership, risk assessment, policy development and implementation on Artificial Intelligence programs
  • Maintain knowledge of best practices and emerging trends within Artificial Intelligence to provide results
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Artificial Intelligence Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of experience in a combination of cloud economics, FinOps, technology consulting, financial management, or large scale IT financial planning

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of cloud consumption models (public cloud, hybrid, usage based pricing)
  • Experience working with or supporting AI / advanced analytics / data platform workloads
  • Ability to translate complex technical and financial data into clear, executive ready insights
  • Experience partnering across Technology, Finance, and Business teams in a large, regulated enterprise
  • Experience with GenAI, LLM platforms, or AI agent architectures, including awareness of token based or usage based pricing models
  • Familiarity with FinOps principles and practices; FinOps Foundation certification is a plus
  • Background in financial services, banking, or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience building unit cost models, ROI analyses, or business cases for technology investments
  • Comfort working in matrixed environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
