JOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY:

The Operations Manager will provide overall management leadership and responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Omaha, NE facility, including financial, operations, growth, safety, community interaction and the business objectives. Drive the effective execution of the annual operating plan (AOP) for the location.


Contributes to a positive working culture, builds strong relationships, and lives out the values of integrity, collaboration, and accountability.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Day-to-day operations management including planning, execution, scheduling, housekeeping, maintenance, safety, and process improvements.
  • Direct management of the purchasing, planning, production and assembly departments to ensure efficient business execution, favorable materials price management, and efficient logistics.
  • Control/manage operating costs for respective operations and departments.
  • Be bold, engaging, inspiring and urgent leader who knows how to evaluate, energize, and motivate a team.
  • Encourages and promotes individual differences to enhance discussions, decisions, and results.
  • Actively seek colleaguesโ€™ input in decision-making.
  • Operate with a strong sense of ownership and commitment. Will have a strategic view of the business but will focus on the Companyโ€™s immediate growth requirements and initiatives.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of and/or experience with fluid power, automation, and electronic controls

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, including 2 years in Industrial distribution with 2 years of P&L responsibility
  • Prior supervisory experience, including exposure to facility oversight; multi-site management a plus
  • 3 to 5 yearsโ€™ experience in manufacturing or assembly of engineered products
