Job description

Position Summary:


The Kauai Division Manager is responsible for initiating and coordinating the essential functions for the daily operations of the Kauai Division.


Essential Functions:


  1. Performs a variety of administrative functions
  2. Schedules appointments and gives information to callers
  3. Composes memos, researches and creates presentations
  4. Generates reports, handles multiple projects, and prepares and monitors invoices and expense reports
  5. May assist with compiling and developing the annual budget
  6. Compiles data based on research techniques and on statistical compilations involving an understanding of operating unit programs, policies and procedures
  7. Independently composes reports and correspondence containing decisions that establish precedents
  8. Arranges, participates and implements as directed, conferences and division meetings
  9. Coordinates activities of semi-professional service to the independent contractors/sales force
  10. Performs various production control activities including gathering and filing records, reporting on use of materials, monitoring customer orders, posting production schedules and calculating production rates
  11. Independently compose reports and correspondence containing decisions that tend to establish precedents
  12. Directs and coordinates administrative services, which may include office clerical and support services, printing, mail distribution, telecommunications, maintenance and purchasing
  13. Supervises the daily operations of support services for the organization
  14. Establishes work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness as assigned operations
  15. Responsible for ensuring compliance with established corporate standards and reviewing and evaluating the work and performance of subordinates
  16. Data-entry of invoices, credit memos and payments from previous day’s deliveries into company’s accounting system
  17. Preparation of daily bank deposits
  18. Weekly preparation of check requests, vendor mail-out, and bank transfer check to corporate office
  19. Performs related duties as assigned
  20. Provide supervision of subordinate personnel, to include the assignment/review of daily work and the input to performance evaluations.
  21. Assist office personnel in daily operation issues pertaining to customer retention, satisfaction, and fulfillment.
  22. Maintains work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  23. Complete other related duties as assigned by the President & CEO.

Independent decision-making is required. Exceptional, complex, or unique problems should be referred to the president & CEO for his guidance and direction.

Mental, Physical and Communication Demands:


  1. Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance consistent with assigned work schedule (see Working Schedule below).
  2. Must follow instructions and all safety policies and procedures. Must work cooperatively with others and exhibit a willingness to work as part of a team.
  3. Must understand and carry out oral and written instruction.
  4. Must be able to skillfully operate standard office equipment on a regular basis.
  5. Requires at a minimum and in addition to other job requirements, basic reading, writing, math, and problem solving skills.
  6. Requires a considerable amount of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and occasional light lifting (not exceeding 75 pounds) to complete essential job duties listed above.
  7. Good oral and interpersonal skills to interact in a professional and friendly manner with everyone (co-workers, the general public, etc.).
  8. Must be able to work under deadlines and/or occasional pressure, use judgment or discretion, and work independently with minimal supervision.


Minimum Job Requirements


Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in management or supervision in a manufacturing environment. Must have the ability to provide technical guidance through past experience and industry knowledge. Should possess strong people skills, leadership qualities, managerial abilities, a sense of urgency, accountability, business ethics, professionalism, self-motivation and the desire and focus to improve the business. Our candidate must be able to read, write and understand English. Competency in Microsoft Office suite application (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).


Special Qualifications



  1. The sensitivity and judgment to properly handle and maintain confidential information.
  2. Experience in environmental health, fire prevention, industrial hygiene, occupational safety or a related field.
  3. Able to obtain OSHA/HIOSH Certification.
  4. Assignments include a variety of duties that will frequently require the use of diverse skills and the keeping of highly sensitive and confidential information.
  5. Assignments often must be completed in a very short amount of time with little advance notice.
  6. Valid Hawaii driver’s license.


Working Schedule & Conditions, Equipment Used, and Additional Comments:


Generally 7:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. May include evening and weekend work as directed, subject to change with little or no notice.


Office conditions and equipment used, however duties will occasionally require job-site visits and work.
