Job description

Lead Account Executive - International Payment Processors

The Lead Account Executive oversees regional payment processor relationships across key international markets. This hands-on role requires a blend of operational payment expertise, proactive partner management, and technical document comprehension to independently drive results while leveraging cross-functional and offshore support teams.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio & Partner Management:Serve as the primary, face-forward point of contact for international payment processors across varying account sizes. Manage 20+ partner relationships concurrently, taking full ownership of portfolio health and prioritizing needs across diverse market scales.

  • Regional Direct Ownership:Take direct ownership of specific global regions including, Australia, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Europe and the Netherlands) representing small to large-scale ATM processor networks.

  • Operational Execution & Support:Deep-dive into client setups, configurations, and technical documentation to streamline integration and operational efficiency. Partner with offshore support teams to filter repetitive inquiries and resolve client pain points directly.

  • Issue & Transaction Resolution:Leverage hands-on payments experience to troubleshoot operational roadblocks, conduct transaction research, and assist with settlement-related inquiries.

  • Risk & Compliance:Actively identify, manage, and escalate account-level risks or operational issues impacting regional processor performance while adhering to strict business standards.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

  • At least 4 years of relationship management, account management or operational experience within the payments industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Operations,

  • 5+ years of experience managing international payment processors, partner networks or financial institutions

  • 5+ years of experience in payment operations, transaction research, and settlement workflows

  • Experience interpreting technical processor documentation and managing multi-account portfolios across distinct geographic regions

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Houston, TX: $109,900 - $125,400 for Lead Account Executive











Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
