POSITION OVERVIEW:

McCormick is seeking a Lead Executive Assistant to partner with the Chief Executive Officer and manage a team of 5-6 Executive Assistants. This dual-impact role is ideal for an organized, strategic, and customer-focused professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about operational excellence and team development.

In this role, you will provide high-quality executive support, prioritizing meetings, fielding time-sensitive requests and managing complex travel and scheduling, while also serving as a leader and coach to your team. You’ll identify and implement process improvements to scale the impact of the Executive Administration team across the business and amplify the effectiveness of the Company’s Executive Leaders.

The ideal candidate is comfortable with ambiguity, rapidly evolving business priorities, and engaging with senior executives and board members. To be successful in this role, you should be experienced at and enjoy balancing the needs and requirements of multiple stakeholders, building strong relationships and teamwork, and operating with a high level of discretion and autonomy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the CEO’s administrative operations, including complex calendar management, strategic meeting planning, and executive communications.
  • Lead and develop a team of Executive Assistants supporting the Executive Leadership Team; provide coaching, informal guidance, and performance feedback to build capability and ensure operational excellence.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and internal departments, ensuring alignment with business priorities and facilitating effective decision-making.
  • Apply understanding of key business drivers to anticipate needs, identify priorities, and recommend improvements to administrative processes and workflows.
  • Manage key projects from concept through completion, analyzing potential solutions using technical experience, sound judgment, and established precedents.
  • Prepare and refine executive reports, presentations, and communications that synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights for internal and external audiences.
  • Oversee administrative budgets and resource planning in collaboration with Finance, ensuring adherence to corporate guidelines and efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Board and Leadership meetings, ensuring alignment of agendas, materials, and strategic outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the executive support function, standardizing practices and enhancing quality and consistency of deliverables.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or a related field required.
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible administrative or executive support experience, including at least 5 years supporting senior or C-suite leaders.
  • 3+ years of experience managing or providing guidance and mentoring to administrative teams.
  • Demonstrated understanding of organizational operations, business drivers, and executive-level priorities.
  • Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of executive operations and organizational priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of evaluating multiple solutions using judgment and precedent.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain complex information in straightforward, accessible ways.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant business tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and experience working in global or cross-functional environments.

Base Salary: $103,520-$181,150

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Dividend Program. In addition to a competitive compensation package, permanent employees of McCormick are eligible for our extensive Total Rewards programs that include:
