Job description

Overview
PepsiCo leverages Microsoft 365 and strategic SaaS platforms to empower over 290,000 users with intelligent collaboration, productivity tools and secure cloud services. As the enterprise accelerates AI adoption, including Microsoft Copilot and other AI-powered workflows, this role will serve as architect and strategic advisor for designing, governing and evolving the global collaboration, automation and AI platform ecosystem, with strong emphasis on Microsoft Power Platform Capabilities.
The M365 & Copilot Architect leads the architecture, strategy, governance, and implementation of Microsoft 365, with primary focus on Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, Dataverse, Environments) and M365 Copilot & Copilot Studio, ensuring its seamless integration across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem to drive enterprise productivity and digital transformation. Defines architectural standards, ensures alignment with business objectives, evaluates emerging technologies and provides technical insights across multiple initiatives. The architect partners closely with business, executive leadership and stakeholders to optimize workflows, security & compliance, enabling scalable, intelligent and user-centric AI solutions that enhance collaboration and decision-making across the organization.
A critical component of the role is leadership in Intelligent Automation and AI innovation, including hands-on expertise in Power Platform solution architecture (Power Virtual Agents, Power Apps development patterns, Power Automate orchestration, API integrations, Dataverse architecture, ALM, environment strategy, and governance). The architect plays a key role in enabling enterprise-wide citizen development programs, establishing guardrails, defining Center of Excellence (CoE) standards, and scaling automation and AI responsibly.
While the primary focus remains on M365 Copilot and Power Platform, the M365 & Copilot Architect is expected to demonstrate strong expertise in Generative AI, AI Integration, Prompt engineering, Ethical AI, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML), Model fine-tuning, AI Observability & monitoring, Large Language models (LLM), Conversational AI and Responsible & Enterprise AI.
Responsibilities
Lead architecture:
  • Oversees technical aspects and our Collaboration strategy, ensuring alignment within peers and functioning as SME for Intelligent Automation, AI and AI Innovation. Responsible for end-to-end of our solutions which includes but is not limited to solution design, lifecycle, standardizations, governance, new capabilities roadmap and partnerships. The role requires for a deep technical expertise among the Microsoft 365 eco-system and AI Solutions, Develop Proof of concepts

Key initiative involvement:
  • Involvement and managing complex projects with moderate to low supervision, these projects could be M&A absorptions, cross functional integrations, technical partnerships, and deployment of new capabilities at global scale.

Decision-Making:
  • Functions as representative for Americas time zones with high level of decision-making autonomy. Has overall understating of programs, strategy and activities occurring within Collaboration and the broader UCC/GWS teams, allowing for strong team representation among NA, LATAM and Global.

Stakeholder engagement:
  • Engages in senior and executive leadership communications, this could be as part of training, Q&A sessions, program updates. As well as key representation for Global, NA an LATAM sector connects. Along with AI innovation initiatives.

Operational Efficiency:
  • Constant coordination and work with Operations and other IT areas team towards streamlining IT operations, UX, reducing tickets, improving our knowledge base and automating repetitive tasks.

Vendor management:
  • Medium management, point of contact with HCL during CST. Collab representative for HCL quarterly vendor connects. Coordinates Staff Aug resources towards key initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $93,500 - $156,450.

  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
Years of Experience:
  • 15+ years in technology, with strong IT Operations background supporting large-scale, global environments.
  • 8+ years in Microsoft 365 technologies (Architecture, Governance + Enterprise rollout)
  • 6+ of Microsoft Power Platform experience (Power Virtual Agents is a must, Power Apps, Power automate, Copilot Studio). Including Enterprise-grade low-code/no-code solution delivery and Center of Excellence (CoE) implementation.
  • 3+ years designing and implementing enterprise AI solutions, including Generative AI and Agentic AI use cases, with hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 Copilot Studio, conversational agent architecture, Responsible AI Frameworks, AI governance & Observability, M365 Copilot enablement, integration and adoption.
  • 7+ years of Active directory, Azure and Entra ID (SPNs, Conditional Access, etc)
  • 5+ Managing strategic vendors and enterprise service providers, including SLA governance and roadmap alignment.
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale solution delivery initiatives and transformation programs.
  • Experience operating in Tier 3 / escalation roles within enterprise environments, with accountability for complex incident resolution and service stability
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, enabling organizational adoption of AI and Productivity tools.

Technical Skills:
  • Enterprise Architecture expertise in Microsoft 365, Power Platform and Copilot ecosystems.
  • Deep Power Platform architecture capability (ALM, CoE, PVA, Integrations, Dataverse, Environments, Citizen Development governance)
  • Strong understanding of Generative AI and LLM-based architectures, including secure enterprise integration, responsible AI practices and AI observability
  • Experience designing AI-enabled solutions leveraging Copilot Studio, Azure AI services, Power Platform and Microsoft 365 extensibility models
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft 365 and Power Platform ecosystem, including governance, scalability and lifecycle management
  • Strong expertise in automation and integration, including PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, RESTful services and enterprise API patterns.
  • Solid foundation in security, compliance, identity and access management (Entra ID, AD, SPNs, Zero Trust principles)
  • Experience designing solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards and IT service management frameworks (ITIL)
  • Working knowledge of modern programming and scripting languages (e.g., C#, Python) sufficient to guide and support development.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Viva, Copilot extensibility, and M365 Agents toolkit in enterprise scenarios
  • Broad understanding of infrastructure, networking, databases, and cloud platform fundamentals
