Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is looking for a BA Global Data Management and AI Enablement in Austin, TX.
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support enterprise data initiatives and emerging AI capabilities. This role will focus on documenting current-state processes, gathering and translating requirements, and driving business value through data and technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Document current-state processes across data domains (product, customer, vendor)
* Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to capture workflows, data flows, and system interactions
* Develop artifacts including process maps, data flow diagrams, and gap analyses
* Elicit and manage business, functional, and data requirements
* Translate needs into user stories, use cases, and detailed requirements
* Support development of business value assessments evaluating cost, risk, and ROI
* Partner with IT and data teams to align on system capabilities, dependencies, and constraints
* Identify opportunities to leverage AI and advanced analytics to improve business processes
* Support backlog refinement and ensure requirements traceability
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, preferably in data or data governance environments
* Strong experience documenting As-Is processes and leading requirements gathering efforts
* Familiarity with enterprise data platforms (ERP, MDM, data warehouse, BI tools)
* Understanding of data governance concepts (quality, stewardship, ownership)
* Experience developing business cases or value assessments
Preferred:
* Exposure to AI/ML concepts or data readiness for AI
* Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, or Lucidchart
* Knowledge of Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
Details:
* Hybrid schedule (Monday - Thursday onsite)
* 6+ month contract opportunity
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented analyst who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys translating complex data initiatives into actionable business value.
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
