Desktop Support / ITSM Consultant

Location: Madison, WI
Job Type: Contract
Duration: Through 06/30/2027, with potential extension
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Interview: Microsoft Teams with camera on

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support / ITSM Consultant to provide technical support and help improve IT Service Management processes. The ideal candidate will have strong desktop troubleshooting skills, ITSM/ITIL knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-person desktop and technical support to employees.
  • Troubleshoot and support desktop operating systems, applications, hardware, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Support Android, iOS, and other mobile devices.
  • Handle escalated issues from the help desk.
  • Diagnose, patch, configure, and deploy desktop systems and IT hardware.
  • Identify and implement ITSM process improvements based on ITIL best practices.
  • Work with users at all levels, including executives.
  • Prioritize tasks and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Document solutions, procedures, and support activities.
Required Skills
  • 4–7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong desktop support and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with desktop hardware, software, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Knowledge of ITSM and ITIL best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Nice to Have
