Job description

Position Overview
Essnova Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Advisor to support FEMA's National Training and Education Division and Training Partners Program. This senior-level position will provide strategic, technical, and professional guidance to the project team and government stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Perform highly complex evaluations of procedures, processes, models, and systems.
  • Design or advise on new procedures, processes, models, or systems.
  • Provide strategic guidance, advice, and direction to the project team.
  • Define and direct technical specifications, assignments, tasks, and due dates.
  • Ensure the technical adequacy and quality of project deliverables.
  • Guide the preparation of analyses, reports, recommendations, and presentations.
  • Advise government clients regarding available options and next steps.
  • Support senior-level decisions involving emergency-management training and program activities.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of progressively responsible experience in a relevant technical or specialty area.
  • At least seven years of experience serving as an internal or external consultant in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience providing strategic or technical advice to senior leadership or government clients.
  • Experience directing complex evaluations, analyses, or technical assignments.
  • Experience ensuring the technical adequacy of professional work products.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a senior advisory capacity.
  • Ability to qualify for a federal Public Trust background investigation.
Education
  • Graduate or professional degree in a related scientific, technical, or professional field.
  • Demonstrated expertise and national professional recognition through literature, academic qualifications, professional work groups, or comparable accomplishments may be considered where permitted by the contract.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Senior experience supporting FEMA, DHS, or federal emergency-management programs.
  • Emergency preparedness, response, recovery, resilience, training, or exercise-program expertise.
  • Nationally recognized emergency-management expertise.
  • Experience advising federal executives or program leadership.
Additional Information
This position is contingent upon contract award. The role is anticipated to require limited, senior-level advisory support based on government needs. The selected candidate may be required to provide a letter of commitment.
