Job description

Executive Coach

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a passion for helping business owners grow, and are excited to manage a large client caseload, you might be the perfect fit for our Coaching team.

Our Executive Coaches develop and maintain close relationships with our largest clients to help them expand their status as market leaders. You will blend high-accountability coaching with practical business and operational guidance to drive measurable outcomes for clients.

As a member of our Coaching team, you will leverage a combination of consulting insights from both personal experience and Crisp's playbook to provide masterful coaching that empowers clients to achieve results. You'll be a guide, a strategist, a trusted advisor - the Yoda you've always been called to be.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate as the owner of your book of business, driving Crisp's growth and stewarding each client relationship as a long-term revenue and impact investment.
  • Confidently lead clients through high-stakes, time-sensitive situations (e.g., executive or key employee departures, operational breakdowns, unclear KPIs, leadership misalignment), balancing immediate triage with long-term strategic alignment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deeply analyze P&Ls, identify margin and cost structure issues, and recommend concrete financial and operational changes. This is not just high-level insights.
  • This role is not a traditional, client led coaching position. Executive Coaches at Crisp are expected to utilize/blend accountability, consulting, and operational guidance. Candidates who prefer purely facilitative coaching without direct recommendations, metrics, or outcomes may not be a fit.
  • Operates with a "we over me" mindset, prioritizing what's best for the client and Crisp over personal preference or convenience.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with business owners, helping them translate vision into reality by identifying growth opportunities, setting clear financial goals, and mapping actionable strategies.
  • Lead strategic coaching sessions that combine business insight, financial acumen, and operational guidance to drive tangible outcomes
  • Own and manage each client's Strategic Growth Roadmap ("growth map"), adapting coaching focus to roadmap priorities and commitments made at workshops, focus retreats, and other Crisp events.
  • Document coaching calls and provide clear, concise summaries outlining action items, key takeaways, and resources for continued growth.
  • Identify operational, financial, and leadership blind spots and prescribe clear solutions to remove barriers to growth.
  • Drive client follow-through and utilization of key Crisp initiatives (e.g., recruiting support, shoots scheduled, workshop participation) through consistent accountability and structured follow-up.
  • Help clients integrate learnings from Crisp workshops and coaching content into their business practices - ensuring concepts are translated into action.
  • Hold clients accountable to what they say they want to achieve, balancing empathy and tough love to drive real progress.
  • Ensure clients fully engage with the Crisp Coach program - helping them maximize the return on their investment.
  • Travel: open to ~2x/quarter client visits as needed (not a fixed cadence).

Requirements:

  • 58+ years of proven business leadership experience with a track record of driving growth and building strong teams - ideally within operations, finance, sales, or client success functions in businesses generating $5M - $100M+ in annual revenue.
  • A strategic thinker who can spot opportunities for growth, identify operational and financial bottlenecks, and help business owners make smarter, data-informed decisions.
  • AI-forward, leverage-minded operator: demonstrated ability to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to improve preparation, insight generation, and client outcomes. This is not as a replacement for judgment, but as a force multiplier.
  • Comfortable holding clients accountable to outcomes - you're not afraid to ask the tough questions, challenge assumptions, and push for clarity.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, KPI/Metric driven, entrepreneurial environments where adaptability, creative problem-solving, and high standards are non-negotiable.
  • An ability to build trust quickly, balancing empathy with directness to help clients level up their businesses.
  • Excellent communication skills - you can translate complex ideas into clear action, whether in conversation, writing, or documentation.
  • A natural coach and mentor, eager to share lessons learned, best practices, and battle-tested frameworks with others.
  • Highly organized and tech-savvy - you're comfortable using tools like Zoom, Google Workspace, and CRM platforms to stay on top of your client portfolio.
  • A positive, solutions-oriented attitude - you own your impact and know how to adjust on the fly when things don't go as planned.
  • Proven operator-first senior leader: You've held senior operations/executive leadership roles with full-business ownership - including leading large downlines and direct P&L responsibility and can clearly point to outcomes you drove in that capacity.

Pluses:

  • Executive-level presentation experience for large audiences, including C-suite stakeholders
  • Military background.
  • Legal industry exposure (ops/finance/leadership).
  • Financial fluency - whether through CPA certification, financial advisory experience, or practical knowledge gained in roles where managing P&L, budgets, or financial targets was part of the job.

How Success Is Measured:

  • Monthly Recurring Revenue retention (primary success metric).
  • Client renewals and expansion health.
  • Upsells and ascensions driven through proactive coaching.
  • Workshop attendance and client engagement.
  • Baseline coaching call activity and follow-through.
  • Net Promoter Score (NPS) and overall client experience.

Benefits:

  • 100% Company Paid Health/Vision/Dental.
  • 4% 401K Match.
  • Generous Paid Time Off.
  • Paid Parental Leave for New Parents.
  • Paid Relocation for Non-Local Candidates.
