Job description

Job Description Civil Engineering Designer I Make an Impact As a Civil Engineering Designer I, you will support the Civil and/or Municipal Engineering disciplines in helping to design and develop documents for a range of public and private projects, including design documents and permits for site plans, utility plans and profiles, road design, grading plans and right-of-way plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D software. This will include generating and translating design concepts into final solutions within a multi-disciplinary project team. You will also receive support to work towards your Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

Deliver Results Produce preliminary concepts with oversite and full design phase deliverables including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, quantity take-offs, technical reports, narratives, and permit applications. Assist in the preparation of calculations and analyses for stormwater management systems, sanitary sewer, water supply and distribution. Assist others with field inspection and data gathering.

Compile crash data at intersections and prepare collision diagrams Prepare Construction Permitting documents. Attend municipal meetings and consult with regulatory agencies when necessary. Use design software/technology, including Revit, AutoCAD 3D, HEC RAS, EPANET, MicroStation and other emerging technologies for presentation and production purposes.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program or equivalent in education and experience required for professional licensure. 0-5 years of professional Civil Engineering experience Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Valid driver's license and good driving record required, with no driving or other infractions that would preclude insurability. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, load and unload vehicle, and drive personal or company vehicle. Preferred Qualifications Engineer In Training (passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam).

Civil engineering internships or work experience. CSI-CDT certification. Experience in HEC RAS or EPANET (water distribution).
