Role Description and Responsibilities

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Civil Engineer, based in Clinton Township, MI. The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for civil engineering design, overseeing project planning, and managing and engineering team. The role includes collaboration with clients, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines, and providing technical expertise to project teams. Daily tasks will focus on delivering high-quality engineering designs to meet the needs of mostly private-sector projects.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design with at least 7 yrs experience is required.

  • Strong expertise in Planning and Stormwater Management to successfully execute and oversee projects.

  • Comprehensive understanding of Civil Engineering principles and practices.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.

  • Proficiency with engineering software and tools commonly used in civil engineering projects.

  • A professional engineer (PE) license in the State of Michigan is preferred; a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field is required.

  • Experience in project management and knowledge of local regulations is an advantage; as well as experience with the design and review of storm sewer, water main, roads, and sanitary sewer.
