Job description

Job Description – Executive Chef 

Location: San Diego, USA
Opening Date: 2026
 

Responsibilities:

- Lead kitchen operations, menu development, and food quality control
- Ensure authentic execution of signature dishes, especially spicy stir-fry pork
- Supervise kitchen staff, training and mentoring team members
- Oversee food safety, hygiene, and cost control
- Collaborate with front-of-house team to maintain smooth service
- Participate in 3–6 months training program in China (travel reimbursed)

Requirements:

- Proven experience as Executive Chef or Head Chef in Chinese cuisine
- Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills
- Business-level proficiency in both Chinese and English as this role requires frequent communication with Chinese and English speaking stakeholders 
- Deep understanding of Sichuan/Hunan cuisine and Chinese food culture
- Ability to train and develop multicultural teams
- Willingness to travel abroad for training before opening
