Location: Midland, TX

Job Description:

Manages and coordinates the operational activities of a funeral home,cemetery and/or crematory operation. Ensures the highest quality services andproducts, to satisfy the need of any client family, to maximize budgeted profitplans for the location, and maintain a positive employee relations atmosphere.

GENERALACCOUNTABILITIES

A      AccountingFunction Oversight

A      Collectionsof all accounts receivable

A      Verificationsand payments of all accounts payable invoices

A      Controlsof receipt and deposit of cash payments received

A      Maintainspetty cash account and disburses the same in accordance with company policiesand procedures

A      Reconciliationsof all accounts

A      Cashadvance checks

A      SameDay Check requests

A      Bankdeposits

A      Verifies/auditscash disbursement reports

A      TracksCapital Expenditure Authorizations (CEAs)

A      OperationalActivities

A      Orderssupplies for the office and completes inventory counts

A      Coordinatesthe processing of orders and receipt of all merchandise orders includingmemorials and caskets and the control of storage inventory for vaults andmarkers, urns and caskets

A      Overseesthe processing of installation funeral-related orders and orders to the groundsand maintenance departments

A      Supportslocation management to ensure all contracts and work orders are completed in atimely manner with proper documentation

A      Schedulesincoming orders and drivers for the ambulate service

A      Completesvarious funeral/cemetery reports and files accurately

A      SupportsSales as necessary requiring an understanding of JD Powers

A      Assurescompliance with all Company policies and procedures to include

A      SarbanesOxley (SOX) audit

A      DignityUniversity (DU) training

A      IntermentVerification Training (IVT) audits

A      DaySales Outstandingas (DSO) related to financial and administrative areas

A      Assistsin preparing and/or overseeing all funeral/cemetery-related forms

A      Reviewstime cards and administers corporate payroll policies and procedures

A      Administerslocal Human Resources (HR) processes such as processing new hire paperwork,verifying pre-need sales licenses, maintaining employee files and otherconfidential files (I9as, etc.).

A      Ensuresnew associates receive new hire orientation

A      Pullsmonthly reports from reporting site and create stack ranking reports for keyperformance indicators

A      Maintainsvehicle records/licenses

A      Processesexpense reports

A      UpdatesGeneral Price Lists (GPLs)

A      Managesall Alarm Systems (codes, working order, etc.)

A      Assistswith funeral services and aMaking Everlasting Memoriesa (MEMs) as needed

A      Coordinatesdaily activities with business unit as well as other departments

A      Trainsassociates in the proper administration of policies and procedures

A      Servicescustomers by interacting with families in a professional and compassionatemanner

A      Maintainsand updates customer records

A      Updatescompany website with current obituaries and ensures obituaries are placed innewspapers

A      Providesa collaborative, productive workplace environment for associate growth anddevelopment that instills pride, a sense of ownership, and the challenge toassociates to exceed expectations

A      Behavesin a supportive way to enrich the work environment

A      Usescustomer feedback in conjunction with Sales to improve location administrationand strengthen individual associate performance

A      Performsother duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

A      Two(2) years bookkeeping, general office, clerical accounting, and AccountsPayable experience required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

A      Solidworking knowledge of computers, typewriter, MS Office, e-mail, internet andbasic office equipment required

A      Excellentcommunication skills both orally and in writing

A      Highlevel of compassion, integrity, and confidentiality
