Senior Project Management Specialist - Executive Fleet

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 5) to join the Executive Fleet Program Management team in San Antonio, TX!

The Senior Project Management Specialist - Executive Fleet will lead and integrate complex production engineering and program enablement activities for Executive Fleet programs (VC25B). This role is the primary integrator for wiring build integration and acts as the liaison between production engineering, operations, suppliers, test & flight operations, and program leadership. You will develop and maintain multitiered schedules and governance, create decisionready metrics and dashboards, manage Risks/Issues/Opportunities (RIO), and drive continuous improvement to enable firstpass quality, cost avoidance, and ontime delivery.

Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, develop, integrate, and maintain multitiered project and program plans and schedules across engineering, planning, operations, tooling, suppliers, and flight test to meet scope, schedule, quality, and constraints.
  • Lead crossfunctional teams (ME, DE, IE, SI, Operations) to define technical approaches, identify and mitigate risks, and implement sustainment/enabler action plans to completion.
  • Create, maintain, and present executive dashboards and decisionready briefings summarizing schedule health, cost, risk, and corrective action status; routinely brief senior leadership and customer stakeholders.
  • Perform highlevel analysis (trend, variance, impact); develop mitigation and recovery plans; drive execution to close schedule, quality, and cost gaps.
  • Develop and report project summary metrics; use data (SQL/Oracle/Excel/Tableau/PowerBI) to drive decisions.
  • Provide onsite build integration and mitigation plans to resolve part availability and aircraft buildstate issues to achieve production readiness and ontime delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement and innovation activities, including development of tooling and additive manufacturing solutions to mitigate schedule risk.
  • May require overtime, weekend, or holiday work to meet program needs.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, including; design, integration, and/or certification or equivalent combination of additional education and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and managing integrated schedules for complex technical projects and/or products
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • 3+ years of experience in utilizing Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and linking worksheets
  • Experience interfacing with and presenting to senior and/or executive leadership, including creating executive level briefings
  • 3+ years of experience using IVT (Integration Visualization Tool)
  • Experience working with large data sets required (e.g. advanced Excel, Power Pivot, Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI)
  • Proficient in SQL programming and database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Strong communication skills, Strong problem solving skills and Strong drive for process improvement

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years' aerospace related work experience in Engineering, Project management, Tooling and Leadership roles.
  • Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance is preferred
