Are you a culinary enthusiast who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for creating delicious dishes? We are currently seeking dedicated Line/Prep Cooks to join our culinary team at Armor Brewing Co. As a Line/Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food quality, contributing to an unforgettable dining experience at our brewpub.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in the production of menu items following established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Coordinate food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring efficient and timely service during peak periods.
  • Execute all cooking techniques with precision and maintain consistency in taste, texture, and appearance of dishes.
  • Adhere to proper food handling and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and proper storage of ingredients to minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to contribute ideas for menu development, seasonal specials, and brewpub events.
  • Operate kitchen equipment and appliances safely, following all operating procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients, allergens, and special dietary considerations.
  • Follow direction from the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations and exceptional food quality.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including proper equipment maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or a similar role in a high-volume kitchen environment is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of various cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and culinary fundamentals.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the culinary team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
