What exactly does an executive assistant do?

An executive assistant provides administrative support to executives by managing schedules, arranging meetings, handling correspondence, and preparing reports. They often use tools like calendar software and need strong organizational and communication skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an executive assistant, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Executive Assistant, you need strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in office administration, typically supported by a degree or relevant experience. Familiarity with office software like Microsoft Office Suite, calendar management systems, and sometimes project management tools is essential. Excellent communication, discretion, and problem-solving skills help you manage complex schedules and sensitive information effectively.
