Overview

Jet Blast, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Operations Manager to oversee our everyday operations and ensure efficient management of our work load. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial management, with expertise in multi-tasking and the ability to adapt & keep calm when things get difficult. In this position, each workday is never the same, as we are an emergency based company that services industrial fields. We are looking for a person who is innately a "take the ball and run with it" type of person with the ability to adjust priorities at any given time because you can see the bigger picture of what needs to be accomplished. You will be both customer and employee facing, so a balancing of the two requires a social mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations within the office, field and shop/ yard.
  • Assign jobs effectively and monitor workflow for timely completion.
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and employee reviews.
  • Ensure top quality service, efficient job completion and strong customer relationships.
  • Play a role in long-term planning, including initiatives geared toward operation excellence.
  • Implementation of performance standards, safety procedures and policies, and assist in policy changes for the betterment of the company.
  • Assisting crews in getting loaded up and sent out of our yard in a timely manner.
  • Tracking jobs to make sure they are on pace to finish as described by the project managers.
  • Help resolve employee issues.
  • Review and make schedules for operations; confirming personnel and equipment needed to accomplish jobs.
  • Recognize the need for additional training among our labor force.
  • Coordinating with project managers and safety department.
  • Helping to maintain equipment in a functioning manner.
  • Managing the labor force.
  • Detailed inventory management.
  • Review and complete daily paperwork used to track time and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Experience in industrial and/or dispatch management.
  • Steady work history.
