POSITION TITLE: Executive Marketing Intern/Volunteer

SUPERVISOR: Executive Director

JOB SUMMARY: The Executive Marketing Intern/Volunteer assists the Executive Director with the statewide marketing of EFC's new service launch, including contacting media outlets, creating and posting on social media and relevant groups/sites, creating promotional materials, creating consistency in messaging/branding, and streamlining referral process.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be in a relevant bachelors or master's program or have marketing experience, have strong written/verbal communication skills, and strong organizational skills. Support for the EFC mission and vision and a desire to develop marketing skills and profile are essential.

GOALS OF EXECUTIVE INTERNSHIP:

  • To develop a clear understanding of, and ability to communicate, the expansion of Exchange Family Center services.
  • To meet the needs of intern's academic program and develop skills needed for future work in the marketing/business sector.
  • To assist the Executive Director in implementing EFC's strategic marketing plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Works alongside Executive Director and Program Managers to create marketing plan and content.
  2. Creates compelling materials and shares with stakeholders, referral sources, and parents.
  3. Seeks out and connects with statewide media outlets to promote EFC's new services.
  4. Schedules regular social media posts on EFC's platforms.
  5. Attends and participates in regular supervision meetings with Family Support Program Managers.
  6. Ensures that work products are saved properly to preserve their usefulness to staff and future interns/volunteers.
  7. Other duties as they become necessary or that meet interests of intern and needs of the organization. Optional tasks may include:
  • Utilizing data to assess marketing strategies
  • Creates media stories from client success stories and parenting tips
  • Tasks related to intern's area of interest or degree program, as approved by supervisor.
