To thrive as an Assisted Living Facility Administrator, you need a background in healthcare administration, a relevant degree (such as in healthcare management or nursing), and often state-specific licensure. Familiarity with healthcare regulations, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and facility management software is typically required. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills help you effectively manage staff, residents, and families. These skills ensure regulatory compliance, high-quality resident care, and smooth facility operations.
