Description
Located on two campuses along the Lake Erie coast between Toledo and Cleveland, The Commons of Providence and Providence Care Center offer a full range of senior living services rooted in the Franciscan tradition. We are proud to be part of CHI Living Communities, a subsidiary of CommonSpirit Health.
Job Summary
The Director of Facilities at Providence Care Center is responsible for the planning, organizing, directing, and developing of the overall operation of the Facilities Department in accordance with all regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Plans, organizes, and directs the maintenance, safety, and security programs.
  • Compiles inventory of all facility equipment and systems and develops preventative maintenance procedure for each item.
  • Schedules work order services and repairs on a priority basis.
  • Maintains the following facility support systems through department personnel or outside contractors: heating, cooling, ventilation, water, plumbing, electrical, electronic, communication systems, appliances, equipment, and grounds.
  • Recommends development, improvement, alteration, and redecoration of physical plant and grounds to the Executive Director.
  • Acts as the facility Safety Director.
  • Satisfies all educational in-service requirements mandated by CHI Living Communities, the department, external accrediting, and regulatory agencies..

In addition to the essential job specific duties listed above, the Director of Facilities shall be required to perform all duties (essential and non-essential) in a manner consistent with the mission and values (compassion, excellence, inclusion, integrity, collaboration) of CHI Living Communities and will be evaluated on such basis. Furthermore, every employee must abide by all campus, departmental, and safety policies, rules, and regulations.
CHI Living Communities has the right to change the job specific duties and specifications required for the position of Director of Facilities from time to time without prior notice.
Requirements:
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen
  • Minimum of 3 years in a facilities leadership role in a long-term care setting is required.
  • Residential care experience preferred.
