Position Overview: The Warehouse Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift/reach truck to manage inventory and inbound/outbound shipments in fast-paced environment. Daily tasks may include partial pallet picking of finished goods, unloading inbound ingredients and packaging materials, pallets and other supplies, and transferring materials and finished goods between facilities. This role requires a focus on Safety and Quality, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to multi-task. Organization, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize are also critical to success in the role.
What You'll Do:
  • Accurately process customer orders in the Partial Pallet area. Pick, pack and wrap finished goods to order specification. Ensure all related documentation is accurate for order processing.
  • Unload, validate, and inspect ingredients, packaging materials, pallets, and other materials from suppliers
  • Put away and assist with picking materials from various warehouse storage locations to support our production needs
  • Hold the responsibility for FIFO/FEFO inventory rotation of ingredients, finished goods and materials
  • Unload and load various finished goods to ship to our customers and other warehouse locations
  • Process all necessary paperwork for material and finished good movements
  • Ensure all materials and finished goods meet our quality and documentation expectations
  • Support proper inventory rotation
  • Support team members in Operations, FSQ, R&D, and other areas of Gehl Foods in a timely and professional manner
  • Work with personnel from external trucking companies, warehouses, and other business partners
  • Consistently ship what is needed on time to deliver to our internal and external customers
  • Ability to use handheld scanners, Ross ERP system, and other technology critical for this role
  • Store and pick finished good pallets in the AS/RS system
  • Perform warehouse sanitation and organization work as required
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Stand up Forklift/Reach Truck experience
  • Ability to support warehouse functions in a dynamic manufacturing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use various computer systems, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Warehouse and Inventory systems, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.
