Role Description The Slitter Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Theresa, WI. In this position, the individual operates slitting machinery to convert large rolls of flexible packaging materials into smaller, precisely cut rolls according to production specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up and adjusting slitter equipment, monitoring production runs for quality and accuracy, performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance, and documenting production data. The Slitter Operator follows safety procedures, inspects finished product for defects, and collaborates with production and quality teams to meet throughput and quality targets. The role may also involve material handling, loading and unloading rolls, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
  • Experience operating or assisting with industrial or converting machinery (e.g., slitter, rewinder, press) and ability to learn equipment controls and settings.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude, including skills in troubleshooting minor equipment issues, performing routine checks, and using hand tools safely.
  • Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset, with skills in measuring materials, checking specifications, and visually inspecting products for defects.
