Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a 2nd shift Wide Format Cutter Operator on the 2nd shift! Responsibilities
- Operate wide format cutting machines with precision, ensuring accurate cuts according to production specifications
- Interpret production documents, layouts, and digital files to execute cutting tasks efficiently
- Perform routine machine adjustments and mechanical troubleshooting to maintain optimal performance
- Manage color consistency and quality control throughout the cutting process, ensuring vibrant and accurate color management
- Collaborate with prepress and graphic design teams to prepare files using Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design software
- Conduct routine maintenance on industrial equipment, including large-format printers, screen printing presses, and flexo presses
- Monitor production workflows, troubleshoot issues promptly, and document all operational activities for quality assurance
Requirements
- Proven experience operating large-format printers, cutters, or similar industrial equipment in a manufacturing or print environment
- Strong technical proficiency with prepress software, digital printing technology, and machine operation procedures
- Knowledge of color management principles, typography, layout design, and print advertising standards
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery adjustment, machining processes, and equipment troubleshooting
- Ability to interpret complex production documents accurately and follow detailed instructions
- Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to quality control and process improvement
