Job Description

3rd Shift: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM 

  • Rotating schedule of 3 days one week and 4 days the next week. Includes working Saturday/Sunday every other week.

Position Summary
The EFI Nozomi 18000 Press Operator is responsible for safely setting up, operating,
monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the EFI Nozomi 18000 digital press to
produce high-quality printed products that meet customer specifications while adhering to
company safety and quality standards.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Operate, set up, and adjust the EFI Nozomi 18000 digital press for a variety of print jobs
  • and substrates.
  • Monitor print quality throughout production and make adjustments as needed to meet
  • customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, print quality, and production issues to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the press and related equipment.
  • Read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and production specifications.
  • Operate pre-feed systems and coating units safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate front-to-back registration on two-sided printing jobs.
  • Verify correct paper stocks, substrates, and materials prior to production.
  • Monitor machine status, error messages, and consumable levels.
  • Complete required production, maintenance, inventory, and quality documentation.
  • Follow production schedules and coordinate with leadership and maintenance
  • personnel as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Comply with all company safety policies, quality standards, and operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous digital printing or press operation experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Basic understanding of color reproduction and print quality standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.

based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential.
