SEMHA is seeking a highly organized, community-centered, and passionate Program Manager to support and lead the operational coordination of impactful community initiatives at Sacred Spaces. This position will focus on food systems, sustainability and environmental stewardship, education, and neighborhood engagement.

This position will offer an exciting opportunity to work alongside community leaders, residents, and partner organizations to help strengthen programs that create meaningful change.

Position Summary

The Program Manager serves as the operational lead for Sacred Spaces and community initiatives. This role bridges strategy and execution by overseeing program implementation, coordinating logistics, maintaining organizational systems, supporting grant compliance activities, and ensuring projects move forward effectively.

This position plays a critical role in supporting community-focused programming and strengthening internal operations that advance Sacred Spaces' mission and impact.

Key Responsibilities

Program Operations & Implementation

  • Coordinate day-to-day implementation of programs, workshops, events, and community initiativesย 
  • Manage timelines, project deliverables, logistics, and operational workflowsย 
  • Support initiatives related to:ย 
    • Food systemsย 
    • Environmental stewardshipย 
    • Community educationย 
    • Resident engagementย 
    • Urban and neighborhood development activitiesย 

Grants Management & Reporting

  • Coordinate grant deliverables and reporting deadlinesย 
  • Track program participation, outcomes, and performance metricsย 
  • Prepare operational summaries, reports, and program updatesย 
  • Assist with compliance and documentation processesย 

Team Coordination & Organizational Support

  • Coordinate internal meetings and project communicationsย 
  • Support workflow management and organizational systemsย 
  • Assist with volunteer, intern, and community partner coordinationย 
  • Maintain organized records, files, and operational documentationย 

Community Engagement & Partnerships

  • Support outreach and engagement efforts with residents and stakeholdersย 
  • Represent Sacred Spaces at meetings, events, and collaborative initiativesย 
  • Help strengthen partnerships that support community impact and sustainabilityย 

Requirements

3-5+ years of experience in:ย 

  • Program coordinationย 
  • Nonprofit operationsย 
  • Community-based initiativesย 
  • Project managementย 
  • Strong organizational and time management skillsย 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilitiesย
