Position Summary

The Assistant Parking Operations Manager supports the Parking Manager in daily administrative tasks and plays a proactive role in staff supervision, customer service, and resolving operational challenges. This role has a strong focus on managing revenue, systems, and policies and procedures while supporting event parking operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the parking plan communication strategy, ensuring all relevant teams are informed in advance of updates
  • Support training and development programs for parking attendants and supervisors
  • Coordinate parking information with marketing to ensure accurate Know Before You Go messaging
  • Assist with communications regarding renewal and parking pass distribution
  • Provide monthly projections of parking activity and maintain accurate event records
  • Work closely with other departments to facilitate seamless event execution and communication
  • Analyze parking data and recommend improvements to systems, operations, and procedures to enhance revenue
  • Support budget management and provide recommendations to meet or exceed financial goals
  • Manage department communications, including email and forms systems
  • Oversee invoicing processes for parking-related accounts
  • Support hiring, interviewing, staffing, and training for the department
  • Create, maintain, and distribute parking packages
  • Support event-specific parking logistics and coordination
  • Monitor parking facilities and address maintenance issues or guest concerns
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll processing, and shift assignments
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 23 years of experience in parking management, facilities, hospitality, or a related field; event or customer service experience preferred
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelors degree preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to relay information across teams and guests
  • Experience supervising, training, or mentoring staff with strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with parking systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office; experience with Formstack or invoicing tools preferred
  • Ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and work outdoors in varying conditions
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
