Event Lead (Seasonal) - Cline Cellars & Jacuzzi Family Vineyards
SUMMARY

Seasonal, on call position responsible for overseeing and supporting Special Events at Cline Cellars and Jacuzzi Family Vineyards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in event environments and takes pride in delivering the highest level of hospitality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Event Operations & Execution:
  • Serve as an on-site event leader, supporting Event Management in all aspects of event activity across the Cline properties
  • Oversee vendor operations and guest flow throughout the event
  • Manage parking logistics and traffic flow to ensure smooth guest arrival and departure
  • Assist with equipment set-up and/or removal as requested throughout event
  • Proactively anticipate guest, vendor, or property issues and resolve them efficiently and professionally
  • Support catering and bar staff during events, including monitoring and return of wine and beer, and recycling disposal as needed
  • Assist housekeeping with facilities upkeep through event, including restrooms
  • Complete post-event reports detailing overall event success, vendor performance and any guest concerns

Hospitality & Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a professional, welcoming representative of Cline Cellars, Jacuzzi Family Vineyards, and The Olive Press at weddings, corporate functions, social gatherings, and public & club events
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of event offerings and programs across all Cline properties
  • Host and manage large-group wine tastings, including bar setup and breakdown
  • Bartend at private and public events as needed
  • Support wine and wine club sales initiatives during events when appropriate
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with Event Management and team members through each event

Winery Security & Site Stewardship:
  • Identify and address safety hazards impacting guests, staff, or vendors
  • Ensure proper staging, placement and removal of events equipment before and after events as needed
  • Secure winery buildings and grounds following events, including locking gates
  • Report security, safety, or property concerns promptly to management

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
  • Strong customer service and guest-relations skills with sound judgement and a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Confident verbal, written and presentation skills; comfortable speaking to and engaging large groups
  • Previous supervisory or management experience a plus
  • Enthusiasm about wine and desire to learn and share our brand stories and wine portfolios
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot basic event equipment
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays

Physical Demands
  • Frequent standing and walking, including on uneven surfaces
  • Occasional driving as required
  • Ability to bend, twist and reach overhead intermittently
  • Ability to lift and carry 21-50 lbs intermittently
  • Ability to push and pull items weighing over 50 lbs intermittently
  • Ability to work comfortably in both indoor and outdoor environments

PAY RANGE: $22 - $24/hour (Depending on Experience)
